Second teen gets shot in a gang crossfire ~Western Cape
On Women’s Day, 15-year-old Aqeelah Schroeder became victim to a gang shootout in Delft when she was on her way home coming back from a local shop.
The young girl was found lying on her stomach and had obtained a gunshot wound to her right shoulder. She was rushed to the hospital where she sadly passed.
On Friday afternoon, at around 13:20, the Delft police went to the summoned scene, where they found an injured victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to her body on the corners of Roosendaal Avenue and Delft Main Road, near a shopping complex.
The victim was a 13-year-old girl who was found to be in a stable condition and had been rushed to Tygerberg hospital.
Delft residents are said to be outraged about the timeless shootouts and are demanding that the police use their resources to combat the crime in their society.
They also are thankful that the latest victim is in a stable condition.
A case of attempted murder is opened and investigated by the Delft police, and no arrests have been made till date.
