Son accused of setting house on fire: Osindisweni -KZN
A house on Osindisweni -KZN, was completely destroyed after it was allegedly set on fire by a 27-year-old male who is said to reside in the premises.
Members of Republic Unit South Africa were called out to the scene at approximately 19:21 on Friday after receiving reports on fire. Reaction Officers and RUSA medics arrived on the scene and found out that the house had been completely guttered in the blaze.
The 47-year-old homeowner informed Reaction Officers that she was at her home of employment when she received a call from her neighbor informing her about the incident. She also stated that her 27-year-old son was at home when she left for work. She believes that he started the fire intentionally as he was under the influence of alcohol.
The 27-year-old had fled the scene and was apprehended by his family members later at a local tavern.
