KZN – A intoxicated man was allegedly killed on Sunday morning (10 April 2022) by his drinking buddies during an altercation on station road, Canelands.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called up to the scene where there was an injured male on the road.
The male who is believed to be in his 30s was bleeding from three penetration wounds to his body, he showed no signs of life and was declared dead on the scene.
According to his family, it is said that the deceased lived in Mslasini, KZN.
He arrived at their residence which is situated in an informal settlement on Saturday afternoon intoxicated with his 3 drinking buddies.
They then consumed alcohol throughout the night and it was then his family heard an altercation taking place between the group.
When they decided to go and look at what was going on they found the man stabbed multiple times, his friends then fled on foot and the family carried him to a nearby road in an attempt to transport him to hospital but contacted RUSA’s Operations Centre when he became unresponsive.
The motive of the murder has not yet been established.
