22 Bodies recovered in the aftermath of the KZN Floods

22 Bodies have been recovered in the aftermath of the floods that destroyed KZN on Monday.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) members assisted in multiple recoveries where victims drowned/ were killed in Structural collapses.
Two men were killed after an outbuilding collapsed in Everest heights on Monday night.
A family of three (72-year-old woman, 34-year-old daughter, and 13-year-old granddaughter) were also killed after a landslide caused a wall in their bedroom to collapse in Amoutana.
A woman and her 3 minor grandchildren drowned after their car was swept off a bridge in Tongaat.
Two women were killed after a house collapsed on them in an informal settlement. A 13-year-old boy was also located several hours later under debris.
A family of 4 also died after their house collapsed on them. Community members helped in extracting their bodies from the rubble.
A woman and two children were killed in separate incidents in ogunjini after a mud slud collapsed a portion of their home.
A body of a man who is believed to have been swept away was discovered along the M25 road.
A body of a female was also recovered in Ndwendwe and 3 other people were also presumed to have also drowned in the area however their bodies are yet to be recovered.

Rescue operations continue.
