Chiefs never spoke to Velebayi’s parents – Kaizer Jr

“As a club, we never spoke to the player & his parents,” he said (Radio 2000’s Game On)

“It was a misconception that was out there because we have always prided ourselves on being professional and engaging in the right way. Subsequently, I had a call with Alexi (Efstathiou, Spurs CEO), who apologized and clarified the fact of miscommunication.

“It is something the club would never do. [We are] definitely interested in the player. But we are far off our [Chiefs & Spurs] evaluation of the player. It has to make business sense.”

It will be a hectic weeks for Chiefs as the closing of the transfer windows approaches.
