Six suspects were arrested after a police Sergeant was fatally wounded during a shoot  with suspects.

According to reports, it is said that police officers were following up information about 15 suspects gathering at a guest house in Kabokweni.

 

When the suspects saw the police on arrival they began fleeing and started firing shots at the police.

The shoot out led to One Sergent being shot and was taken to hospital, Unfortunately, he was declared dead on arrival.

Police then launched a manhunt which lead to the arrest of six suspects, Firearms which included an AK-47 were confiscated along with four vehicles.

One suspect sustained injuries and is currently in hospital, the six are expected to appear at the Kabokweni Magistrates court on 28 March 2022 on charges of murder and being in possession of unlawful firearms and ammunition.
