Eskom announced that it will suspend load-shedding tonight at 8 pm as there has been sufficient recovery from generation capacity.
This comes days after it implemented stage 4 load-shedding which included 2 hours of power cuts every 2-3 hours from some areas.
It furthermore said that since Friday it has returned 4 generation units to service and 8 other generation units are expected to return to service by Wednesday evening.
Eskom has since asked South Africans to use electricity sparingly as there will still contain both on Monday and Tuesday as it is expected that extensive use of emergency reserves will still be needed shed of the units returning to service.
