2021 will be closed off with tears and sadness as this year’s Christmas had a lot of tragic stories as a decomposing body of a 45 year old man was discovered in Disa Street, Klein Nederberg, Paarl.
the body of the man identified as Marshall Harris was found in the house above after community members complained about the bad smell in the area to the police .
The authorities removed the body the following day as it is said that Marshall didn’t have any Funeral cover .
The police say that Marshall Harris died of natural causes but his family says this is not the case as they say they saw marks and deep wounds on his face .
The family is currently asking for assistance with the funeral as they cannot afford one .
Weekend Argus also attempted to reach ward councillor Laurichia van Niekerk for her contribution but but she advised that the Drakenstein Municipality was to engage after it dealt with the family.
