FATHER sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his daughter in Port Nolloth – Northern Cape
The SAPS welcomed the life sentence that was handed to a father that raped his daughter yesterday in Port Nolloth Magistrate’s Court(08/04).
On 3 April 2022, the police received a complaint of a 14-year-old girl that alleged that she was raped and assaulted from the age of 9 by her biological father.
The accused was arrested the following day on 4 April 2022. The police opposed bail and the father remained in custody for the duration of the trial.
On 8 April 2022(Friday) the Port Nolloth father received life sentence for rape and a further 10 years direct impingement for sexual assault.
He again was declared unfit to possess a firearm and his name is to be registered in the National Register of sexual offenders.
