A 17-year-old serial rapist has been sentenced to 30 years in prison during the Gauteng Regional Court sitting in Palm Ridge which took place on 30 March 2022.
The teenager is believed to be the youngest recorded serial rapist in the history of South Africa.
It is said that the teen raped three boys aged between 8 and 10 years old on 3 different occasions around Katlehong in 2020 and the teen was 15 years old at the time.
The solid case against the serial rapist was built by Sergent Renny Matshavha a detective based at the Katlehong Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual offence (FCS) Unit.
