A 59-year-old eastern cape scrapyard owner was arrested by police officers as he was found with 120kg of copper in his business premises.
Police received information about a scrap metal dealer whom it was said that is illegally trading copper in Joza Township.
When officers arrived on the premises with a search warrant they discovered him with copper which was packed and ready to be delivered to Gqeberha.
The man is due to appear at the Makhanda magistrates court as he contravened the second-hand goods act.
