The shooting took place on Wednesday at a secondary school in Johannesburg.

 The victim and perpetrator were from the same high school ( Lesiba secondary school- in Davetoyn east of Johannesburg).

It was declared that the two learners had an argument with each other during school hours and the issue escalated after school. The shooting occurred out of school and the shooter turned the gun toward himself shooting himself after he had killed his fellow classmate by shooting him in the head. 

The case is still being investigated by police as we are told by the Spokesperson (Lesiba) for the Gauteng education department.

The Spokesperson of the Gauteng department had also sent his condolences to the families and expresses his grief for the unfortunate event.
