CHUENESPOORT – A 33-year-old male priest from Makgofe, outside Seshego, was stuck for hours before being rescued by police on Monday night while conducting rituals on Chuenespoort mountains in the Lebowakgomo area, west of Polokwane.
George Mundane, a priest, travelled to the highlands of the mountains to engage in a secret private prayer session, however, M
Mundane started to experience unease and hallucinations, which caused him to become disoriented, leading him to lose his way back.
Additionally, he had run out of food and drinks as he hastily walked across the highlands. Fortunately, his phone had enough battery to make a few calls and asked for assistance.
At around 6 o’clock, the victim was successfully saved after a search operation by members of the SAPS air wing and water wing rescue unit. Minor shock and dehydration were addressed for him.
“Ok now he must pay for the financial damage incurred. Services of this nature under the circumstances should not be free”.
