Saps Katlehong have arrested two men angled 30 an 37 along with 25 year old woman in Moleleki for Kidnapping, Sexual Assault and for being in possession of unlicensed Firearm.
It is said that SAPS officers were on a Crime Prevention Patrol when they noticed a suspicious looking vehicle parked on the side of a road with four occupants.
It was then that the suspects attempted to flee on foot when the officers approached their vehicle.
The Police managed to arrest three suspects and the other fled the scene.
It is said that after a short while a woman came out of the vehicle screaming for help from the officers with her hands tied with cable ties.
The woman indicated that she was kidnapped, with further investigations revealiu that the 29 year old was kidnapped from Welkom in the Free State.
It is said that the suspects drove with her vehicle to Katlehong where she was also sexually assaulted by one suspect on the way.
Police recovered a 9mm pistol with several rounds of ammunition and arrested the three suspects.
The suspects are set to appear at the Palmridge Magistrates Court soon and the firearm will be subjected to ballistic tests to determine whether it may be linked to other crimes.
