KZN – A 42-year-old Ethiopian businessman was killed during a robbery at a Spaza Shop in Waterloo.
It is said that the deceased was seated in a white Hyundai H1 outside the store with an employee when three suspects approached the passenger side of the car.
It was then that the suspects asked his assistant to unlock the doors before proceeding to firing shots through the glass and windscreen.
The victim had exited the vehicle and fled into the store where he was shot in the abdomen and collapsed.
The suspects then entered the store and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a black vehicle.
Reaction Unit South Africa was called and the man was found to have been fatally injured.
