Two suspects aged 28 have been arrested for being in possession of stolen property and attacking a on Thursday morning (28 April 2022), Western Cape.
Police officers swiftly reacted to a Toyota Quantum that was involved in the robbery of a truck delivering cigarettes.
When the Quantum was spotted , a chase and shootout began between police and the suspects and fortunately the vehicle was stopped in Khayelitsha.
When officers searched the vehicle 17 boxes containing cigarettes were found inside the Vehicle along with a 9mm pistol.
It is said that the suspects will appear at the Khayelitsha Magistrates court once they are charged for the crime committed.
