In the eastern cape, the police had arrested 3 individuals after discovering that they had non-ferrous metals.
The police had revived information on the 14th of January about 2 vehicles roaming around with the illegal metal. They were suspected to be carrying stolen copper cables.
These vehicles were said to be taking a north direction from Aliwal from Bugerdrop.
The vehicles were then identified on the road, stopped and searched. The police had confiscated 41 bundles of copper from them.
The suspects are to appear in court on the 17th, further investigations are currently being done.
